South Florida is limited to anywhere in Florida south of state road 70. This is the area of Florida that has the best winter weather and the highest property values. See map below. The areas of south Florida that are most desirable are as follows: Sarasota, Venice, Naples, West Palm Beach, Miami, and Key West. Areas north of this area are colder in the winter and have more cloudy days.
South Florida is the southernmost region of the U.S. state of Florida. It is one of Florida's three most commonly referred to "directional" regions, the others being Central Florida and North Florida. It includes the populous Miami metropolitan area, the Florida Keys, and other localities. South Florida is the southernmost part of the continental United States and the only region of the continental United States that includes some areas with a tropical climate.
When considering South Florida Sarasota is often considered the best option. For all of the reasons listed below Sarasota is an amazing place to live.
Siesta Key Beach is known for white talcum powder like sand, volleyball and beautiful sunsets.
Sarasota is a city south of Tampa on Florida’s Gulf Coast that was once the winter home of the Ringling Brothers Circus. Today, it hosts a number of cultural institutes, notably the Ringling Museum of Art, which showcases old masters and modern art. It’s also the gateway to miles of beaches with fine sand and shallow waters, such as Lido Beach and Siesta Key Beach.
The Sarasota Medieval Fair is just one of the many world-class events that are possible due to the perfect weather in Sarasota.
The Ski-A-Rees make their home in Sarasota and put on FREE water ski shows during their season.
